MAKE GLORIOUS MISTAKES – CONTINUATION

make mistakes quote

I can’t believe that 2014 is over! Honestly this year was the most awesome in my life. I will remember it FOREVER! I don’t feel the usual excitement to welcome New Year, cause I wish 2014 could continue… But here we are at the end so let’s make a little summary…

2 0 1 4 RESOLUTIONS

Last year I wrote a post MAKE GLORIOUS MISTAKES – 2014 resolutions (click here to read it) and yesterday I accidentally  went through this post. You can read there that I made new year’s resolution list for the first time in my life. I’ve written down 14 points of things I wanted to do in 2014. But where the hell is that list? I don’t even remember making one :/ … So this is what always happens with my lists, I note down every idea I have, every quote I’m inspired with and I almost never read it again… So are the resolutions and lists with objectives or ideas important? You loose the list or even if you keep it, it converts into regrets cause nothing has changed and you still don’t go to the gym. Does it sound familiar?

I don’t remember what was on my list, but I’m sure among others there was a point about going to the gym, doing sports regularly, going on a trip, becoming a full time painter, creating an online store etc.

One year passed and I’m still not going to the gym, I didn’t go for any of my big trips, but I quit my job and I’m on the way to make my way out to live from painting. I do have regrets for not doing sports but I still can’t find time for that. I guess my next new year resolution will be to organise myself better. I even started big 2015 planning but I got stuck… Ugh…

AWESOME 2 0 1 4

Why 2014 was so awesome? It was actually full of ups and downs, with more downs than ups. It was full of frustrations, challenges, difficulties that seemed I would never overcome, full of tough decisions, full of risks that I took and full of awkward and out of comfort zone situations. And even though I cried more than ever before, I was confused more then anytime in my life and I failed more times than ever I love who I became and how I changed. I’m finally on the way I want to be and I’m finally happy to be who I am. 2014 taught me to be patient. To take little steps and patiently wait for result. To insist more, to be more determined and to stick to my vision. And it taught me to let go. Let go the fear of doing something wrong. I’ve also learnt how to be my best friend. Yes, to be my best friend. And it’s so much better to have yourself as your best friend than as your most severe critique who’s never tired of pointing out errors.

Thank Y O U!

All this wouldn’t happen without YOU. Without every single person that I interacted with this year. Perhaps you don’t realise but every conversation I had this year, every interaction and every good word or even a bad word or critique you had for me is what made me stronger and gave me energy to continue. I’m particularly grateful to my best friend ever Ania R. for hours of talks through Skype and that you always make me feel better, to Aga Z. for all your good words and continuous support, to my family for your support and that you believe in me, to Yvonne for being my greatest fan and to all friends that believe in me and support me: Kostya, Paulina T., Magda D, Kasia R., Aga C. Finally I want to thank You Jesús for always being there for me, for patiently baring all my downs, these hours of crying and hours of frustrations and for making me feel special and unique.

NEW YEAR’s RESOLUTIONS

My nº1 resolution from 2014 was:

  • ‘to have the courage to fail miserably many times, to dare greatly, create, change, live whole-heart life!’

I feel 2014 was about it and now that the year is coming to an end I can say that I do have the courage to fail miserably, to dare greatly, create, change, live whole-heart life! Thank you 2014 for teaching me that!

New Year’s Resolutions is to define your greatest desires and to help you grow, help you find your truth and your way. The most important desires get engraved in your heart and it’s all that counts. So if you didn’t loose your weight or you didn’t go to the gym perhaps you just didn’t desire it strong enough…?

Think about your greatest spiritual desires and the rest will follow!

¡2 0 1 5 WISHES!

I have not found any better words than wishes from last year, wishes by Neil Gaiman:

I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes.

Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You’re doing things you’ve never done before, and more importantly, you’re Doing Something.

So that’s my wish for you, and all of us, and my wish for myself. Make New Mistakes. Make glorious, amazing mistakes. Make mistakes nobody’s ever made before. Don’t freeze, don’t stop, don’t worry that it isn’t good enough, or it isn’t perfect, whatever it is: art, or love, or work or family or life.

Whatever it is you’re scared of doing, Do it.

Make your mistakes, next year and forever.

Make mistakes everyday, forever! And don’t worry it isn’t good enough! I wish you grow and you move on. Every failure is a step to a great success! So make mistakes and win your dreams.

HAPPY NEW 2015!
